Helen Yardley Studio at Design Junction 2012

Helen Yardley Studio is excited to be taking part in this year’s Design Junction, which is to be held in the disused postal sorting office on New Oxford Street. The impressive industrial space will be transformed into a hub of creativity between 19th and 23rd September, with talks and seminars, a pop-up shop and showcases of work by leading designers.

Helen Yardley commissioned to design new rugs for the RSA House

The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce has commissioned Helen Yardley to design two new rugs for the large refurbishment project which is currently being undertaken at the RSA House. The refurbishment itself, which is a collaborative endeavour between Matthew Lloyd Architects and the Fellow-led RSA House Development Committee, has been designed to enhance the original appearance of the 18th Century building whilst also providing cutting-edge technological facilities.

Helen Yardley’s Alep features in Elle Decor

Philosopher and writer Alain de Botton has been interviewed for the latest issue of Elle Decor, where he discusses his interest in architecture in his North London home. The centrepiece of his beautifully designed living space is a hand-knotted Helen Yardley rug, Alep in his own customised choice of colours. Alep is a highly versatile and popular design, which can be either hand-knotted or hand-tufted. All of Helen Yardley’s designs can be customised by colour or size  in consultation with the studio.

Helen Yardley rug selected for Innovision at the British Business Embassy

Jutan Pepper  by Helen Yardley has been selected to be included in an exhibition by the British Business Embassy at Lancaster House during this summer’s Olympic Games. Innovision will be “a showcase of the very best of British design and innovation” set in the historical setting of Lancaster House. During the course of the Olympics the work will be showcased to both UK and International Government delegates, global business leaders and entrepreneurs and the international press.
